The View from the Golan

Shalom All,

Since the Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure and more, we are back to the Home Front app updates and into the safe rooms at various times during the day and night (mostly night).

So far today, we have had 8 suicide drones enter our area. All destroyed, thank Gd. This is not to mention the ballistic missile waves.

2 Items:

First, a quick thought. Every morning during prayers, we read the Song of the Sea, sung by Moshe and the People of Israel after they crossed the See of Reeds and the Egyptian Army was destroyed in it waters. We read:

אָמַ֥ר אוֹיֵ֛ב אֶרְדֹּ֥ף אַשִּׂ֖יג אֲחַלֵּ֣ק שָׁלָ֑ל תִּמְלָאֵ֣מוֹ נַפְשִׁ֔י אָרִ֣יק חַרְבִּ֔י תּוֹרִישֵׁ֖מוֹ יָדִֽי׃

The foe said, “I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil;
My desire shall have its fill of them. I will bare my sword. My hand shall subdue them.”

נָשַׁ֥פְתָּ בְרוּחֲךָ֖ כִּסָּ֣מוֹ יָ֑ם צָֽלְלוּ֙ כַּֽעוֹפֶ֔רֶת בְּמַ֖יִם אַדִּירִֽים׃

With a blow of your breath, the sea covered them; They sank like lead in the majestic waters.

The enemies of the Jewish People and the State of Israel often make a lot of noise. They fill the air with threats and have very intention of carrying them out. But in most cases, their bellicose bellowing comes to not and they are blown away with the wind.

However, we are not the generation of the desert, where Gd was obliged to perform open miracles for the people. Today, Gd wields his miracles through our generation. Those fighting Gd’s enemies, be it overtly, covertly, on the home front or through acts of kindness and chessed, are His hands and fingers, His very breath.

Second, I would like to open this forum to anyone who has a question about what is going on and is finding all the noise out there confusing. Send me your questions and I will do my best to give a clear and simple answer with a “View from the Golan.”
